The Use and Misuse of
Prayer
The course helps you analyze the quality of
your own prayers by investigating what is really important for
you in your spiritual life. You then develop personalized
prayers that address your specific needs.
We often pray to God for material things
out of fear, a fear that dictates we petition God to supply our
material needs. When we understand and confront this fear, we
are able to transform our prayer life. We then realize that
faith in God’s protection enables us to freely pray for what is
really important, ie. our spiritual advancement.
This course helps you clearly see what kind
of devotee you really want to be, what is holding you back from
attaining that, and the price you are paying for holding on to
unwanted material desires. You then learn how to use prayer to
overcome those obstacles and achieve your spiritual goals.
Enlightened Life Directions
Connecting with your unique
contribution
This course helps you deeply connect with
your unique life purpose in the service of Krsna. This results
in tremendous focus, enthusiasm and commitment, and often an out
of the box attitude towards making the world Krsna conscious.
You will connect to a service that truly inspires you and you
will be given the success tools needed to achieve your goals.
Enlightened Communications
and
Relationship Building
This course examines the qualities of a
pure devotee in relation to communication and relationships. You
gain practical skills for counseling, communications, improving
relationships and working well with teams.
By looking at what it practically means to
be respectful, humble and compassionate, you realize how these
qualities are essential for getting along well with others. And
you examine how you can better manifest these qualities in you
own life.
Working cooperatively is at the foundation
of any successful organization; yet it is often a great
challenge. Teams, committees, temples, or
projects will learn how to become closer and work more
cooperatively. This naturally generates betters results in their
service.
Living a Life of
Total Forgiveness
Spending an entire day focusing on
forgiveness enables you to deeply connect with that quality. One
of the comments most often received from students is, “I thought
I understood forgiveness, but I saw many ways in which I wasn’t
forgiving. I learned invaluable tools to help me release
resentment that I carried for years. This has played an
essential role in my spiritual advancement - and my own peace
of mind.”
Devotees often think spiritual qualities
will automatically come when they are advanced and thus they
don’t need to focus on developing them now. But it is by
practicing these very qualities now that we advance.
Train the
Trainer
Learn incredibly
effective presentation techniques and philosophies used by the
most successful presenters, trainers and facilitators - and
apply them to your preaching programs.
Train the Trainer
is based on a five day training Mahatma Das took by one of the
most successful seminar presentation companies in America. His
course lasts four hours and is based on the essence of what he
learned and applied in his own preaching. There will be a second
three hour session for those who want learn more about applying
these principles to their own preaching, counseling or teaching.
Mahatma Das highly
recommends this course because he has seen how it has
dramatically improved the effectiveness of any program that
involves teaching, counseling, facilitation or lecturing.
Indian Youth Training
(The following course is planned for the
future.)
This course will help Indian youth connect
more with their culture and their parents values and will teach
parents what they can do to aid this, and what they
inadvertently do to prevent this.
The proposed idea is:
Part 1, For Parents:
Passing on Your Culture
Part 2, For
Youth: Learning Why You
Believe
What You Believe
Part 3, For
Parents and Youth , Bridging The Gap
The course is designed for Hindus in and
outside of Iskcon. More Indians are raising families in the West
than ever before and it is difficult for their children to
bridge the gap between such divergent cultures. This course is
designed to help parents and kids successfully deal with these
challenges. |
