We have questions, you have answers

If I asked you to write down three ways you could improve your spiritual life, would you have any difficulty doing this? Probably not. If I asked you to come up with three more ways, could you do it? It might take a bit more thought, but I am sure you could. I bet you could actually continue this exercise for quite awhile before exhausting all the ways in which you could make spiritual advancement. And I think you’d be amazed at what you’d come up with and how this exercise would help you (why not try this exercise?).

This shows that often what we need to advance our spiritual lives is available to us if we know how to look for it. That is why our motto is “We have questions, you have answers.” I just asked you a question about how you could advance your spiritual life and I know you have many good answers.

Spiritual teachings are full of “you should’s, ” and we all well aware of them (especially when we don’t follow them). But it is the how to’s where the rubber hits the road. We are told to be disciplined, sense controlled, introspective, serious, focused, enthusiastic, etc, but we don’t always know the best and most effective ways to achieve this. And sometimes we don’t know how to do this at all.
